from the President - Patrick Lynch
 Welcome
to the worldwide web home of the New England Chapter
of Meeting Professionals International or more
easily stated, MPI/NE.
As
a chapter of Meeting Professionals International,
we hold the same vision, values and mission as
our parent organization, with an obvious focus
on the wellbeing of the New England based meeting
professional. As stated in our vision statement,
“MPI shall be the leading global community that
is committed to shaping and defining the future
of the meeting and event industry." And we
do strive to live true to this and the goals set
forth in our mission statement, which are:

To provide members with exceptional education,
resources and networking opportunities.
- To
position meetings as a strategic, organizational
and communication vehicle.
- To
promote the value of meeting professionals within
the business community
In
operating this way we are moving our chapter in
alignment with a larger global association community
of professionals focused on the growth of our industry.
In working together we can become an industry recognized
as professionals with a skill set not commonly held.
Members of our organization command budgets representing
hundreds of thousands of dollars, and plan events
which can make significant economic impacts on destinations.
Our members are steadfast professionals, and we
are charged with supporting them. Our buying power
is immense and we always support “Buy MPI” adding
value for all involved. Our
monthly educational and networking events regularly
bring together 150 to 200 industry professionals
and build relationships that will last for years.
The New England Meetings Conference & Exposition
(NEMICE), our annual conference and exposition,
is the largest single gathering of meeting professionals
in the northeast and regularly draws crowds of
1500 to 1600 attendees. This single event is attended
by individuals and companies from in and around
New England as well as National and International
attendees. NEMICE is the third largest conference
in the MPI community following MPI International’s
World Education Conference (WEC) and the North
American Professional Education Conference (PEC/NA).
We are truly committed to the development of our
member’s and these events help us achieve that
goal.
