Bea
Flammia, CMP
A
native of the greater Boston area, she has extensive
experience spanning 26 years in the luxury hospitality
market. She began her career at the iconic 15 Arlington
Street, Ritz-Carlton, Boston when it was privately
owned and within a year and a half later was involved
in the beginnings of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
In the early days of the company, The Ritz-Carlton,
Boston served as the training ground for future
leaders of the company worldwide. She considers
the early days of working with the hotel as her
MBA training in hospitality. Some of her contributions
to the industry include establishing the Ritz-Carlton
Hotel Company operating standards worldwide for
conference services and initiating cause-related
marketing strategy for catering sales.
Bea
currently serves on the MPI/NE board as incoming
Vice President for member services and as Chairman
of the Board of The Newbury Street League and is
now Senior Sales Manager for The Regent Boston at
Battery Wharf scheduled to open this summer.
Catherine Chaulet
A
highly accomplished executive in service industries,
Catherine Chaulet is responsible for the company’s
newest portfolio of services. The events division,
which Chaulet manages, provides group transportation
and management for meetings and events, ranging
from board meetings and corporate off-sites to major
corporate-sponsored sporting events. Before joining
BostonCoach, Chaulet served as a U.S. business development
executive for The French Accent, distributor of
a well-known line of French cosmetics, and co-founded
Adlisor, an international advertising agency based
in France. She received a degree in economics from
the University of Paris X-Nanterre and a Master
of Business Administration from the Simmons School
of Management.
Julia
Helene Clapper
With
a decade of sales and marketing experience in the
corporate telecommunications arena, Julia Helene
holds a victorious track record of developing high
performance teams and high growth businesses. As
VP of Sales & Marketing, Julia Helene is responsible
for the company’s go-to market strategy and for
establishing, managing and driving the sales and
channel organization and programs, as well as strategic
corporate, customer and industry trade marketing
initiatives.
An
innovative sales and marketing leader, Ms. Clapper
is a graduate of the College of Saint Rose with
a degree in Business Marketing and Computer Information
Systems. Ms. Clapper is a member of the Greater
Boston Chamber of Commerce Transportation and Workforce
Development Committees, was on the Committee for
the Big Sister’s Big in Boston 2006 Event and is
on the Communications, Education and Programming
committees for ISES New England and also serves
on the ISES Board of Directors as Director of Programs,
further proving her pledge for the growth of the
business economy. Ms. Clapper was a proud recipient
of the 2006 ISES Future Leaders Award and the 2007
ISES Rising Stars Award. Ms. Clapper has also been
acknowledged by the Boston Business Journal as a
“woman on the move” in 2006 and was recently honored
as a Manchester Who’s Who and the Global Who’s Who
registry in top USA executives.
Perry Kessler
Perry
Kessler was recently named Director of Sales and
Marketing at the Newport Marriott Hotel in Rhode
Island. Kessler’s extensive industry experience
has helped developed his expertise in strategic
account development, team building and salesmanship.
He is a 20 year veteran in the meetings, conferences,
conventions and events industry. He is active in
organizations such as Meeting Planners International
and is an acclaimed speaker, panelist, trainer and
facilitator.
Kessler
was promoted in March, 2008, as Newport Marriott’s
newest executive committee member after he concluded
an 18 month project as Sales Director, leading the
opening sales force of the Renaissance Boston Waterfront
Hotel. He served in positions prior such as Area
Director of Hotel Sales for Marriott International,
Senior Account Executive for the Boston Marriott’s
Newton and Burlington, Director of Events at the
Boston Marriott Copley Place, Catering Sales Manager
at the Cambridge Center Marriott various other positions
in the Convention and Banquet arenas.
As
an agent for Marriott International, Perry Kessler
assists clients globally while maintaining his primary
leadership position at the Newport Marriott hotel.
Neil
Schriever
Neil
Schriever is the Vice President of Sales and Services
for the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors
Bureau (PWCVB). He is responsible for the development,
management and guidance of the Providence Warwick
CVB’s national sales team in generating sales for
the Rhode Island Convention Center and area hotels.
Schriever
has over twenty years of sales experience in the
hotel and travel industry. Prior to joining the
PWCVB, he was Director of Citywide Sales for Starwood
Hotels of Boston, responsible for booking all city-wide
conventions in the area hotels. Before moving to
Boston, Schriever was employed with Interstate Hotels
Corporation, at the Sheraton in Springfield, MA
and at the Don CeSar Beach Resort and Spa in St.
Pete Beach, FL. During his tenure at the Don CeSar
Beach Resort and Spa in St. Pete Beach FL, Schriever
served as the volunteer Chairperson of the Tourism
Marketing Council for the Gulf Beaches of Tampa
Bay Chamber of Commerce for two years. He has also
worked for Omni Hotels at the Providence Biltmore
and Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.
Schriever
has been an active member of the Professional Convention
Management Association (PCMA) on a national and
chapter level over the past eight years. Most recently,
he served as Chairman of the Chapter Leadership
Council for PCMA. In addition to PCMA, Schriever
is also a member of the American Society of Association
Executives (ASAE), Meeting Professionals International
(MPI) and the Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX)
Boston Metro city discussion group.
Schriever
graduated from the University of Massachusetts at
Amherst, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in
Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration, and
has since participated in and conducted numerous
seminars and presentations for professionals and
students in the hospitality and meetings industry.
